The DA40-180 is a four-seat, fixed gear, 180hp composite aircraft that was first released by Diamond Aircaft in 2001. The DA40 offers an excellent view from the cockpit through its large canopy. This aircraft gives great performance with an aerodynamic composite construction. The DA40 is also very agile and forgiving through its control stick.
The DA40 is not only a great training platform for new students, it is also an excellent aircraft for IFR training. N742DS is equipped with a Garmin 530/430 stack, and a two axis auto-pilot.
